Immigration
I. INTRODUCTION
This chapter outlines how foreigners may remain in Mexican territory
under the proper Immigration categories and characteristics, regardless of
their purpose for remaining in Mexico.
It is important for foreign companies and individuals to have clear and
practical knowledge of the different types of visas available in Mexico and
the activities they may perform with them, whether lucrative or not.
To determine the adequate authorization for each activity or business,
there is a need to identify the type of visa to be secured, the activities to be
performed, and whether these will be performed on behalf of a Mexican
entity. All this information is necessary to avoid the imposition of fines that
apply to the sponsoring company and the foreigner, or the foreigner’s
deportation.
